The Francis X. and Nancy Hursey Center for Advanced Engineering and Health Professions is one of the newest additions to the University of Hartford campus in West Hartford, CT.

The building was named after alumnus, engineer, inventor, and business owner Frank Hursey, and his wife Nancy, who is a retired nurse. The building combines both of their careers and was their contribution to give back to the University of Hartford.

This 60,000 sq. ft. building was created to help enrich the education of students in the University of Hartford’s College of Engineering, Technology and Architecture and the College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions. It contains laboratories, classrooms, robotics rooms, 3D printing labs, and specialized healthcare simulation areas and more for its aspiring students.

The Hursey Center is cladded in over 14,000 sq. ft. of Stuc Grey Polished porcelain panels and is accented by large glass windows. With the open-joint porcelain cladding system’s low absorption rates, the Stuc Grey Polished porcelain panels reject dirt and are practically maintenance-free.
