Dahlia Upper West Side

Manhattan, NY

Named and Inspired by a rare blooming flower, Dahlia is covered with over 15,000 square feet of custom porcelain panels and is accented by contrasting folded metal plate window frames. The neutral beige custom porcelain, Piedra Borgonya, was cut to size as a response to the varying window widths and tilted window jambs. That result is a modular, but yet playful building envelope with a horizontally staggered pattern.
